FAQ
What is a portrait meet-up?
A coming-together of models, photographers, and other creatives to collaborate collectively at a photoshoot! At a Creative Crew meet-up, you’ll have the opportunity to meet and create with several artists. This is a safe and inclusive space to network, experiment with different techniques, expand your portfolio, and get new content, alongside other creators!
What should I expect at a Creative Crew event?
All of our events are very low pressure! At meet-ups, once everyone shows up at the designated time and venue, we will start with quick introductions – then pair off, shoot, switch, repeat! We encourage everyone to try and work with each photographer/model throughout the meet-up. We usually will also bounce ideas off one another, share props, and just play and hang out! The result: a fun time and some awesome art captured by various creators!
How much does it cost to attend a meet-up or styled shoot?
Event pricing varies between our more casual portrait meet-ups and intricate styled shoots! This also depends on the amount of prep work required for a particular event, market research, and added value we can provide.
How do I sign up for an event?
Upcoming events will always be announced first on our Instagram page! These announcements will include the day and time that tickets will become available online. After that time, you will also have access to ticketing for the upcoming event(s) through the link on Events > Upcoming Events page!
I purchased a ticket! What happens now?
Yay! We can’t wait to create with you! Following checkout, you will receive a confirmation email. Then, in the week leading up to event, you will receive our Attendee Email at the email address you used at checkout. This email will include all the details, the Accident Waiver + Photo Release form, and exact meeting address for the event – and is only sent out to the artists who will be attending!
Who owns the photos and videos captured at events?
Legally speaking, content from an event is owned first-and-foremost by photographer (or videographer) who captured it.
However! Per the Accident Waiver + Photo Release we require all attendees sign prior to each event, rights for all content are released to models, participating venues/vendors, as well as us – Creative Crew! This allows everyone involved through a) capturing b) appearing in c) sponsoring the specific photos and videos to post and share across their respective social media accounts, personal business websites, marketing materials, etc.
Note: We do request that all parties extend credit to each other when applicable i.e. social media posts.
Do you partner with venues, vendors, or other types of artists?
Absolutely! If you’re interested in working with Creative Crew, please use the form on our Contact page or email us directly at hello@creativecrewmt.com and we’ll be in touch shortly!
What does the “MT” after “Creative Crew”…?
Montana! Both Karis and Jazz grew up in western Montana, and our home state is where Creative Crew began.
In 2020, we formed as Creative Crew MT LLC, but nowadays, we go by Creative Crew – Our social media accounts and web domain still include the “MT” in honor of our Montana roots. (Occasionally, you also see us still referred to as CCMT, too.)
